Nursing gently

The ancient parent (to quote  Dickens) was on a ward down here with me last year

He commented on a nurse who gently prompted the gent opposite my Dads bed to drink every time she entered the bed bay.

He had some kind of condition which caused him difficulty in his mouth. He also had Dementia.

Dad noticed that her care kept him drinking and so helped his mouth care and kept him painfree.

She did not take any extra time to do this

It did not cost any more

She simply prompted each time she passed in a very gently way as she was on her way to help the other men.

Dad noticed the care.

And he felt safer himself.
