Chief Dancing Two Eagle Spirit,
Sandy Laframboise, is an Elder from the traditional Canadian territory of the
Odawa people. Since teaching in Plymouth in 2016, Sandy has taught in South
Africa, Australia, Alaska and at home in Canada. For the past decade Sandy has
led Sweat Lodge Ceremony on the Traditional Territory of the Tsleil Waututh
Nation, and leads annual Vision Quest Ceremonies in Northern Alberta.

Traditional Ceremonial Rattle Making
and Song Workshop

Learn about Medicine tools of the
British Columbian First Nations people. Learn their beliefs and culture as we
each make a traditional hide rattle. We hope to have horse and deer hide. Internationally
respected Sandy and her helper Lloyd Pritchard will support us to make a rattle
for our own Spiritual Walk. Lorna McTavish Coulson is a song-weaver and Sandy’s
local apprentice who will help us awaken our rattle songs. Drumming with us
will be Dan and Ann Teague and community drum Spirit of the Sound. The Day will
start and conclude with a short traditional ceremony led by Sandy.
Please being a shared lunch. Vegetarian soup, drinks and snacks will be provided.
Requested donation for materials and costs £40.00.

this emotive topic.

Unrepentant documentary film describes the work of Reverend Kevin Annett http://kevinannett.com/
Kevin worked with Canadian First Nations people who
described their experience of Christian residential schools, including murders
and abuse of children in the schools. Kevin is an award-winning film maker,
broadcaster and author, 2014 and 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Nominee, Recipient of
the 2016 Prague Peace Award. Kevin will introduce the film via Skype and take
questions via Skype after the screening. Requested donation to costs £10.00.
Sweat Lodge Ceremony

for the day in a traditional Sweat Lodge ceremony on Ashgrove Farm near Tavistock.
For Native Americans the Sweat Lodge is a sacred space. Sandy is offering us
this opportunity to work with her in ceremony in this way. Please come
ready to join in a whole day experience including a pipe ceremony and talking
circles. Requested donation to costs £20.00.
Cedar Weaving - day at home with Chief Sandy

We will see a video of the Cedar
forests of British Columbia and the indigenous people from those lands. Cedar is
part of their culture. Sandy and helpers will teach us to weave traditional
items such as bracelets and headbands for you to take home from Canadian cedar
prepared by hand by Sandy. The Day will start and conclude with a short
traditional ceremony led by Sandy. We are requesting £40.00 donation for
materials and expenses and a gift to Sandys work. The venue will be a
private address in Plymouth area. Details will be provided on booking. Please
