Ann and Dan Teague are well respected Elders locally who have sat under many teachers in the medicine way and now have been embraced by Sandy to join in Sandy's work locally.
Ann is the keeper of Spirit of the Sound- a 32 inch community drum. Spirit of the Sound was made from a whole untreated buffalo hide by Ann’s partner Danny who was instructed to birth the drum in a dream. They work with many groups bringing her magical heartbeat. They have made many beautiful drums since and are very patient teachers for nervous folk.
Lorna is apprentice to Chief Dancing Two Eagle Spirit a well known First Nations Elder. Lorna is a songweaver and drum keeper. She travels to Canada for teaching. Lorna made her first drum on the traditional lands of Shíshálh Nation in Canada with a teacher and singer during an "open House " day with the First Nations people of that place north of Vancouver. Since then she has worked with Sandy making drums in Canada and supporting Sandy's workshops here. She also makes them for drum groups and a few to sell to good homes! You will meet many of her drums as she is opening her space for this event.
As a team Lorna Danny and Ann run an intimate workshop with small groups only. We hope Sandy will be able to join us by videolink during the day but cannot guarantee this.
